2023-2024 EHS Kindergarten

We focused on the letter L and V these past 2 weeks.  We learned the songs, practiced printing , and drew pictures that start with the letters .We have learned the following letters and letter sounds at school this year and your child should be familiar with them all: S, M, T, I, P, N, D, C, P, O, A, B,G,E,R,H, F, K L & V.  Please make sure they are familiar with both the upper case letter and lower case letter. In math, we have been working on making 6 and 7. We have looked at what numbers make 6 and 7 through lots of practice with making number pairs.  We completed making our puppets for "A Loud Winter's Nap" and will practice retelling the story using the puppets and loose parts.  We read, Little Bot and Sparrow and have been working on our guided drawing skills. At school this week, we have continued to work on the re-telling of the story "A Loud Winter's Nap" and are making our puppets to help us with the re-telling. We continue to explore coding by playing with the Indie Cars at school.  Please ask your child how they can make their Indie car move. Valentine's Day in Kindergarten Kindergarten children will exchange Valentines on Wednesday February 14th.  If your child wishes to participate please send Valentine's with only their name signed in the from line .  Please do not address valentines to individual children - this is very hard for us to manage in the classroom.   Mrs. Conley's class has 20 students.  Ms. Mask's AM class has 20 students.  Ms. Mask's PM class has 19 students.
